2008 Jeep Compass Induction Control Valve Was It Control

My engine light came on code came back as p2016 high bank I changed the intake manifold runner and the light is still on i re scanned the code now it's coming back the same code but now it's saying low instead of high... Im thinking maybe its the electrical connector that actually attaches to the part I changed any advice would be appreciated and where I could find the pigtail that connects to the intake manifold runner thanks. I have an 07 Jeep compass 2.4L base model also tried clearing the codes and hard reset... No luck

The clerks at part stores are NOT technicians they sell and push PARTS!

You want to replace connector BEFORE checking wiring- ok the info is here if yu want.

NOT a new part.

Welcome! Yeah what he said. Plus looking at the wiring for cuts or abrasion, connectors good+corrosion-free. Simple stuff first.

Dealership wants 125.00 an hour just to diagnose the problem and then whatever it cost to fix it... to rich for my blood lol but I will try the connector and also check wires for anything that doesn't look right I'm doing it this Sunday I already changed the manifold runner I have a feeling it wasn't even bad to begin with though smh but I will keep y'all posted and let you know what happens gotta figure this out before March... Inspection due then

These little 2.4l are pretty notorious for the intake runner control valves going bad, but if you have already replaced that, then check the wiring, also I have seen carbon and oil gunk buildup inside the actual intake manifold itself causing the runners to get stuck, I have replaced more than a couple of the intakes, which is also notorious for cracking. Make some more plastic crap you stupid engineers. The first run in I had with intake runners was on my personal 1995 Acura Integra, only the GSR models came with the turndown intakes with runners, but if I'm not mistaken they are vacuum controlled. I quickly eliminated that problem with an aftermarket skunk 2 intake manifold. No CEL, but it didn't matter because it was a 1995, so no problem with state inspections here in NC. I am currently experiencing the control valve problem only wifes 2008 jeep compass. I took it off and it seemed to be stuck, so I wiggled it back and forth a little, and used some penetrating oil on it. Dont know the results yet as it was about 2:00am when I finished, but it seemed to start better than it was, and run fine so far. Going to see if the CEL goes off on it's own before I reset it, so she dont have to drive so much to complete the readiness monitors for NC state inspection.
