Getting ready for Day 2 of the GM Diet
Due to change in your dietary intake from Day 1 of the GM diet you may feel a little lightheaded. Today, Day 2 the GM Diet will focus again on healthy vegetables for the day. Always remember to drink at least 10 glasses of water a day, this will assist with the cleansing objective of this diet.
On Day 1 you were not allowed to eat a strict all fruit except bananas diet, today is similar with all vegetables being the food of the day excluding vegetables high in starch like potatoes, corn and peas. Other examples of this diet have the day starting with a potato for breakfast therefore remember this diet menu outline is a suggestion only therefore if you would like a potato for breakfast do not hesitate to have the vegetables you love the most. By eliminating potatoes, corn and peas should give a better result.
I had read the GM diet was all vegetables except potatoes and bought foods that fit this description however by also removing corn and peas you are taking the starch also out of your diet for today. You are allowed to eat any other vegetables that you like. Try to incorporate some light activities or exercises into your daily routine like walking or swimming. For those of you feeling energetic a yoga class or gym workout might be exactly the right thing for you to complete today.

GM Diet Day 2 Plan
GM Diet Day 2 Breakfast
This is the Day 2 of the GM diet that many other sites use; start off with large baked potato with a pat of butter, ghee or olive oil on top. For the following reasons that it is important to keep the stomach full during breakfast so it will energize the body for the rest of the day.
However my suggestion for breakfast is sans potato and consists of Kale, beetroot, carrot, sweet potato and your favorite herbs to flavor (see pic)
GM Diet Day 2 Lunch
For lunch any sort of salad you like or veggies steamed or raw will be a delicious midday meal. Salads may be dressed with vinaigrette or olive oil, but not mayonnaise.
Lunch salad consisting of;
Lettuce, tomato, spanish onion, cucumber, capsicum and avocado
GM Diet Day 2 Dinner
Dinner on Day 2 may consist of your favorite vegetables or salad or a repeat of breakfast or lunch. For something different steamed vegetables are a great way to finish off the day.
Dinner Day 2 suggestion:
Steamed Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, sweet potato and pumpkin seasoned with cracked pepper is a wonderful day to finish off your Day 2 on the GM Diet.
GM Diet Day 2 Drinks
Drinks of course are the same for the GM Diet day 2 as GM diet day 1. Therefore maintain your hydration with 8-10 glasses of water.
GM Diet Day 2 Plan
Breakfast (6.30-9.00)
Kale, beetroot, carrot, sweet potato and your favorite herbs to flavor and 2 glasses of water
Mid morning Snack (10:30 -11:00)
6 carrot sticks and 6 celery sticks and 2 glasses of water ( Blended chick peas with a little bit of coconut oil and pepper to dip them in for added flavor)
Lunch (12:00 PM-1:30 PM)
Lettuce, tomato, Spanish onion, cucumber, capsicum and avocado (2 glasses of water)
Afternoon Snack (3.00 PM)
1 cup of cherry tomatoes (2 glasses of water) maybe add some coconut water and ice.
Dinner (5.30-7. 00 PM)
Steamed Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, sweet potato and pumpkin seasoned with cracked pepper (2 glasses of water)
Evening (8-9.00 PM)
1 glass of water with lemon or lime squeezed in to flavor or a glass of coconut water. If you are still feeling hungry have some celery sticks or carrot sticks
Diet Plan for Day 2 of GM Diet with potatoes
Breakfast (8:00-9:00 AM)
1 cup boiled potato (with ghee, olive oil or butter) and 2 glasses of water
Mid morning Snack (10:30 -11:00)
6 carrot sticks and 6 celery sticks and 2 glasses of water ( I blended up some chick peas with a little bit of coconut oil and pepper to dip them in for added flavor)
Lunch (12:00 PM-1:30 PM)
Lettuce, tomato, Spanish onion, cucumber, capsicum and avocado (2 glasses of water)
Afternoon Snack (3.00 PM)
